The Stage is Galliard Homes’ development in Shoreditch and will be comprised of 412 suites, apartments and penthouses, and a 32nd level sky lounge and terrace. Residents will also be offered a complimentary three-year fitness club membership with Equinox Shoreditch, which will be located at the development. Also, a heritage centre will sit in the middle of the development, which will hold the remains of William Shakespeare’s Curtain Theatre.

Property Week - Curtain Raises on Shakespeare-Inspired Development

The Stage in Shoreditch – a joint venture led by Galliard Homes – will be a luxury development with a Shakespearean history dating back more than 400 years. The Curtain Theatre – the playwright’s original East London playhouse, where The Stage is being built – is said to have been where Henry V was premiered. The new development will house a brand new heritage centre, which is expected to attract a number of visitors once completed in 2021.

With 84 venues worldwide, Equinox will open its 85th within Galliard’s mixed-use development, The Stage in Shoreditch. The American health and fitness club will span 31,000 sq. ft., and will feature a spa, state-of-the-art gymnasium and studios for Pilates, boxing and cycling. Equinox is due to open in 2021 along with the rest of the development, which will also feature 412 apartments. Residents will enjoy three years’ complimentary membership.

Residents of The Stage will have three years’ free membership to Equinox – the luxury gym set to be incorporated within Galliard’s Platinum Collection development, The Stage in Shoreditch. The development will also be home to pop-up shops, offices and a heritage centre dedicated to Shakespeare’s Curtain Theatre, which once stood on the site in the 16th century. A 37-storey tower will house 412 apartments, expected to reach completion in 2021.
